     Visits nine destinations in 13 days • Shore excursions • Good quality/variety of foods • Nice, attentive crew • Library • Cabins clean and well-attended • Well-organized tours, embarkation/disembarkation • Coziness of small ship

 

Weaknesses:  
     
    Dining room waiter was ill-mannered and unattentive • Old ship — still needs lots of heavy maintenance • Pool needs improvement 

 

Other Observations
     
     Interesting fellow passengers (mostly from England and Scotland) • Low-key relaxing ship • Ship has a cosmopolitan air with a lean toward British feel • Presents good travel dollar value • Shows were o.k., but not the best

Although nearing 30-years-old, this nicely maintained ship still shows its fine pedigree — it began life as the Royal Viking Star. The onboard decor and ambiance today are decidedly British, as are most of the passengers.
