Enchanted Capri

Commodore Cruise Line

Itinerary: Mιxico

CruiseReports Value Index = 14.8
CruiseReports Quality Rating = 7.7

Strengths:

Guest service is supreme • Warmth and friendliness was apparent on every employee’s face • Food • Attentive, service-oriented staff • Shore excursion opportunities • Economical price • Ports of call • Many activities • Lots of deck space — it was not crowded

Weaknesses:

The musical show • Dilapidated ship with inconsistent air conditioning • Staterooms are very small/out of date • Lack of eating options • Not enough ventilation

Other Observations

Most of the staterooms had two twin beds they didn’t push together • The ship was great, but the crowd was too rowdy for our taste • Great cruise for a very low price • It’s an older vessel and could use more elevators

Who Should Take This Cruise:

Families • Singles • Seniors • Couples • Budget minded people looking for a quick getaway

Who Should Not:

Someone wanting a fast-paced nightlife • Honeymooners • People who want a really fancy ship • Small children • Those under 21 years old • Handicapped or disabled

Editors Comments:

With the demise of Premier and Cape Canaveral Cruise Lines, Commodore and Regal now dominate the budget cruise segment. The Enchanted Capri sails two- and five-night cruises from New Orleans, and its biggest drawing card is the Isle of Capri Casino onboard.
